Review your Executive Committee. These are folks who are really important to your professional (and often times personal) experience. Advisors. Mentors. Friends. Whatever. I like 4-6 people who know me, my history, my work, and my (short/long term) goals. Things to ask yourself today: (1) Do I have my Executive Committee established? (2) Do these people know what I need them to do? (3) Are these the right people to have on my Executive Committee for the next 12 months? and (4) Who else might be part of this Executive Committee in the future? You’ve heard it before – people land awesome opportunities through people (not job portals).
